How God saved us from a ghastly accident in Lagos – Pst. Paul Igbineweka

On that day January 27th, 2024, 7-8am, we were walking ahead of the Trailer coming behind us at Berger area bridge, Lagos, but a young lady and a young man who had passed us stood ahead and as we were approaching them without knowing what was behind, I heard that young lady saying what is wrong with this Trailer driver behind us. Then I turned to look, the Trailer breaks had failed and the driver losing control, and without blasting of the horn, but trying to anchor on the high bridge kerbs trailing along, suddenly I shouted to the lady, and others around MOVE! That was how we hurriedly moved away from the exact spot where the Trailer anchored with loud sound blast against the kerbs of the Bridge, turning its head to opposite direction and the trunk on the road. We were scattered across the road as we meandered through vehicular spaces to the other side of the road. All within few seconds.

Later I was able to sight my person behind the Trailer standing, I waved at him and he came forward. Thanking God for the escape from the accident. On looking at the downward side of bridge where the Trailer Head was hanging on the bridge, we saw a victim lying down with bruises, blood over his head and motionless. Then those who rushed to the scene initially were pointing at the driver and his motor boy walking away. The lonely casualty could be a lonely standby who could not move forward on time with us at the time of the accident, but was flung over the bridge down to the under road.

We moved ahead and boarded vehicles and continued our journeys respectively. Most people who witnessed the accident must have gone before the above news was reported. However, the scene was quite captured.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOR SAVING OUR LIVES.
