The congregation of our church came together in solemn unity to bid farewell to a beloved daughter of Zion, Deaconess Florence Chukwudi of Amaohoro, Ezere in Isuikwuato LGA, Abia State, who was laid to rest in a beautiful and spirit-filled funeral service.

Deaconess Chukwudi, a woman of unwavering faith and deep devotion, served the Lord diligently during her lifetime. She will be especially remembered for her tireless commitment to the Children’s Ministry, where she nurtured young souls with love, patience, and godly instruction. Her legacy in that department remains a testimony to her heart for service and compassion for the younger generation.

The funeral service was marked by a rich expression of worship and thanksgiving to God for a life well spent in His vineyard. It was led by the National Ministry Leader, Pastor Meshack Igbineweka, and Pastor Sylva Ugorji of Owerri church who delivered a message of hope and comfort, encouraging the bereaved family and the church to remain steadfast in the faith.

Pastors present includes:

  • Pastor Augustine Kanu (Umuahia Congregation)

  • Pastor Chris Moghalu (Awka Congregation)

  • Pastor C. O. Ndubuisi (Enugu Congregation)

Members from various congregations attended in love and solidarity, demonstrating the unity of the body of Christ. As part of the service, the GCI Women Ministry rendered two special songs in honor of Deaconess Chukwudi, ministering powerfully in song and spirit. Prayers were fervently offered to God for the strength, peace, and comfort of the Chukwudi family and all who mourn.

Though we are grieved by her passing, we rejoice in the assurance that Deaconess Florence Chukwudi now rests in the bosom of the Lord whom she served so faithfully.

May her soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.
