The Grace Communion International (GCI) Nigeria Assembly recently concluded its Singles Retreat 2025, a refreshing and impactful time of fellowship, learning, and spiritual renewal. Held from 12th – 16th November 2025 at the serene Gordons Beach and Resort, Abraka, Delta State, the retreat brought together singles from different assemblies for a memorable experience centered on faith, purpose, and godly relationships.

Theme: “Preparing for the Future” – Ecclesiastes 12:1

Anchored on Ecclesiastes 12:1, the retreat focused on the importance of remembering God early in life and intentionally preparing for the future with Christ at the center. Through inspiring teachings, interactive sessions, and practical discussions, participants were encouraged to build strong spiritual foundations that will guide their personal lives, careers, and future families.

Spirit-Filled Sessions and Bible Drills

One of the highlights of the retreat was the Bible drill sessions, which challenged participants to engage deeply with Scripture in a fun and interactive way. These moments not only strengthened biblical knowledge but also fostered teamwork, confidence, and a renewed love for God’s Word.

Fellowship, Networking, and Bonding

Beyond the teachings, the retreat provided ample opportunities for networking and meaningful connections. Participants bonded through group discussions, shared meals, and informal conversations that built lasting friendships. The atmosphere of unity and love reflected the heart of the GCI community.

The beautiful beachfront location added a refreshing balance of sports and recreational activities. From outdoor games to relaxed moments by the beach, participants enjoyed healthy fun that strengthened relationships and created unforgettable memories.

The Singles Retreat was not just an event—it was a transformational experience. Many participants testified to gaining clarity about their purpose, renewed commitment to Christ, and practical insights for navigating singleness in a godly way.
