This year’s convention carried the profound theme: “God is Love. Whoever does not love does not know God” (1 John 4:8). It was a week filled with worship, fellowship, teachings, and a renewed sense of purpose for the ministry.
One of the highlights of the convention was the presence of visiting ministers from GCI Ghana, led by the Regional Director for West Africa, Pastor Emmanuel Okai. Their participation brought a spirit of unity and collaboration, further strengthening the bond between the West African assemblies of GCI.
Throughout the event, members were deeply impacted by the powerful messages and teachings that emphasized love as the foundation of Christian living. Workshops, prayer sessions, youth and children’s programs, music ministrations, and outreach initiatives helped members grow spiritually, renew their commitment to Christ, and build stronger bonds within the church community. Many testified to being inspired and equipped to reflect God’s love more intentionally in their daily lives.
The National Ministry Leader, Pastor Meshach N. Igbineweka, expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the GCI Nigeria Assembly. In a message shared across the various GCI WhatsApp groups, he said:
“On behalf of the GCI Nigeria Assembly, we would like to thank our Pastors, Deacons, Deaconesses, our esteemed National Ministry Team, other Ministry Leaders – Media and Technical Ministry, Youth Ministry, Music Ministry, Children Ministry, Medical Ministry, Safety and Security Ministry, Intercessory Ministry, Women Ministry and Men Ministry for their overwhelming support and giving towards the success of this year’s convention. We thank you for your labour of love for the Ministry of Jesus Christ. May our good Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ continue to grant you success in your endeavours, grant you divine health and bless the work of your hands in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.”
The 2025 convention served as a reminder of God’s faithfulness to His church and the importance of love in all aspects of ministry. Members departed the convention spiritually refreshed and eager to apply what they learned, ensuring the light of Christ continues to shine brightly within their communities.
