Grace Communion International (GCI) Nigeria joyfully announces the successful ordination of Mr. Richard Irabor Okhide as a Deacon of the Benin City 1 Branch – Eyaen Congregation. The sacred ceremony was held on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, and was marked with thanksgiving, celebration, and heartfelt worship to God.

The ordination was conducted under the leadership of the National Ministry Leader (NML), Pastor M. N. Igbineweka, who officially confirmed the new deacon, committing him to the service of Christ and His church. Pastor Igbineweka expressed deep gratitude to God for the growth and strengthening of the ministry, emphasizing that “Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour is growing His ministry.”

Special appreciation was also extended to the host pastor and spouse, Dr. Paul & Grace Igbineweka, whose support and hospitality contributed greatly to the success of the event. In addition, sincere thanks were given to Pastor Kingsley Ojianelo for his dedicated support throughout the ordination process.

The entire Eyaen Benin congregation rejoiced together, celebrating this important milestone in the life of the church and in the personal journey of Deacon Richard Irabor Okhide. His ordination signifies a renewed commitment to service, discipleship, and leadership within the body of Christ.
